- Compare and Contrast
In Jordan Matters photo, the background is a bit blurred, but mine is not. We also used different shopping carts, and he had a much more open space behind him. His photo also has very white floors and the ceiling lights are very bright. He centered his photo more, and had it cropped to be just the cart to the ceiling.

In this picture that I took, again the background is more in focus and his colors are brighter. Also the models are facing different ways (oops), Dorka is wearing her socks and the other dancer is holding the weight higher.
Image 3:
I actually like my picture better for this one, mostly because it looks more organized. It was really funny trying to get sydney to do the same pose as the dancer because she is not flexible at all, and you can tell. Our pictures were taken in different places so the background is slightly different. Jordan Matter took his at the end of an aisle like mine, but he had just a mini freezer section while I took it at the freezer wall.
- Personal Artist Statement
This image is of Dorka jumping while holding a shopping cart. This was the last picture I took, and she basically just jumped over and over until we got a good shot. We were looking for a cart and an open space to take the picture, and we turned a corner and boom there was an empty cart and a wide open aisle for us.This picture is symmetrical in the sense that the aisles are even and straight, and Dorka is directly in the center of the shot.
Image 2:
This is my favorite picture I took, and it makes me smile every time I see it. It is also slightly rotated, which gives it a sense of movement, as if you are watching her lift the weight. It also has color, with the red wall and the brightly colored weights and coolers. This picture also has asymmetrical, or informal balance, because dorka is not the same on both sides.
Image 3:
This image is of my sister and Dorka in front of the ice cream freezer. The picture has informal balance. It also has a sense of unity, because of the rows of ice cream and ice cream toppings, and also sydney and dorka are both wearing striped shirts. This picture also has emphasis on the center, with the aisle opening up towards them and the lighting from the freezer highlighting the center of the photo.
